Yes. A physical PS5 Standard Edition of Stupid Never Dies is confirmed for selected regions. GPTRACK50's release-date announcement states it directly, and a live Best Buy listing corroborates the product. That confirmation does not imply a boxed PC version, a physical Glorious Idiot edition or a worldwide disc release. Shipping, stock and retailer bonuses vary and should be checked with each retailer.
What is confirmed
GPTRACK50's release-date announcement on July 29, 2026 includes a product-information section. It explicitly confirms a physical PS5 Standard Edition in selected regions. GPTRACK50's September 2026 First Bite Demo announcement repeats the same limited-region availability.
A live Best Buy listing for the PS5 version corroborates that the physical product exists. That gives an independent retail confirmation alongside the developer's statement. It also shows that at least one major US retailer carries the disc.
The director's Gamescom interview connects the SEGA publishing partnership with physical disc distribution. That explains why a disc release exists for a game from an independent developer. It does not add new editions or platforms.
| Version | Physical release? | Source |
|---|---|---|
| PS5 Standard Edition | Yes — selected regions | GPTRACK50 announcements; Best Buy listing |
| PS5 Glorious Idiot Edition | Not confirmed as physical | Digital edition on the US PlayStation page |
| PC (Steam) | No boxed version confirmed | PC release identified as Steam |
Selected regions only
The official wording is “selected regions,” not worldwide. Which regions are included has not been listed in the sources we checked. Do not assume a disc will be sold in every country.
The Best Buy listing confirms availability in the US market. For other regions, check local retailers or the official channels close to launch. Availability can also change after release.
Shipping dates, stock levels and retailer-specific bonuses are separate questions. Each retailer sets its own. We have not verified any retailer bonus.
Official channels are the best place to watch for regional updates. GPTRACK50's news page and the official Steam announcements carry product information first. Both are linked from our homepage.
No physical Glorious Idiot edition is known
The US PlayStation page lists two digital editions: Standard and Glorious Idiot. The Glorious Idiot pre-purchase on Steam includes advance access scheduled for October 19, 2026 at 22:00 UTC. No source we checked confirms a physical version of the Glorious Idiot edition.
Do not expect the disc to include Glorious Idiot content unless an official source says so. The confirmed physical product is the Standard Edition. Steelbooks and collector's editions have not been verified either.
If you want the Glorious Idiot edition, the digital route is the confirmed one. Our PS5 page compares the editions in more detail. The digital listings show both editions side by side.
No boxed PC version
GPTRACK50 identifies the PC release specifically as Steam. The confirmed physical edition is for PS5 only. No boxed PC version has been announced in the sources we checked.
PC players should use the Steam full-game listing, app 3486530. The free First Bite Demo is a separate Steam app, 4880100. Our Steam page covers both listings.
If a boxed PC edition is announced later, we will add it here with its source. Until then, Steam is the only confirmed way to buy on PC. No other PC storefront was confirmed in our research.
Physical or digital?
Both the disc and the digital Standard Edition carry the Standard Edition name. The Glorious Idiot edition is listed as a digital edition, and no physical version of it is confirmed. If you want its advance access, the Steam pre-purchase is the documented route.
Digital versions are available in more places, since the disc is limited to selected regions. The PlayStation Store and Steam list local prices for your region. Physical availability depends on the retailers in your country.
The PS5 version is listed as offline single-player with DualSense vibration. Those features are described for the PS5 game, not for one format. Choose based on where you live and how you prefer to own games.
Release date and price
Stupid Never Dies releases on October 21, 2026, with selected regions seeing October 22 because of time zones. That applies to the physical PS5 edition as well as the digital versions. Retailer delivery times may vary.
On the US PlayStation page, the Standard Edition is listed at $49.99 and the Glorious Idiot Edition at $59.99. Those are regional digital listing prices, not worldwide guarantees. Retail disc prices are set by each retailer.
Our release date page explains the October 21 and October 22 distinction in full. It also covers the Glorious Idiot advance-access timing. That advance access is tied to the Glorious Idiot pre-purchase on Steam.
Pre-orders and pre-purchases are handled by each store. Steam lists a Glorious Idiot pre-purchase, while physical pre-orders depend on the retailer. Check terms and delivery estimates before ordering.
What the disc includes
Disc completeness, such as whether all content is on the disc or a download is required, has not been verified. We will not claim either until it can be checked. The PS5 version is listed as offline single-player on the US PlayStation page.
The same page lists DualSense vibration and a PS5 Pro Enhanced label. That label alone does not establish frame-rate or resolution targets. These platform features apply to the PS5 game generally, not only the disc.
We will update this section once players can check the disc after launch. Any download requirement will be listed with its source. Until then, assume nothing beyond the confirmed Standard Edition.
Try before you buy a disc
The free First Bite Demo is available on PS5. It covers approximately the first two hours of the full game. GPTRACK50 confirms its save data can carry into the full game.
Whether a demo save carries into the physical edition specifically has not been documented separately. The developer's confirmation refers to the full game. Our demo guide covers the details.
Playing the demo first is a practical way to decide whether you want a physical copy at all. It includes two boss fights, Afreet and Phoenix Zaza Hotfeathers. Both can be fought for free before launch.
How to check availability
Start with GPTRACK50's official announcements, which state the confirmed physical product. Then check your local retailers for stock and pricing. Retail listings can change frequently, especially around launch.
Treat unofficial claims about steelbooks, collector's editions or worldwide discs with caution. None of them was verified in our research. We will update this page with dates if new physical editions are announced.
If you find an official listing for your region, you can send it to us through the contact page. We will add confirmed regions to this page. Please include the retailer, region and a link to the listing.
