Quick answer

Stupid Never Dies is on Steam as app 3486530, and the free First Bite Demo is a separate Steam app, 4880100. Use the demo listing to try the game for free on PC, and the full-game listing to buy it and check the current PC requirements. The game releases on October 21, 2026, with some regions seeing October 22, and the Glorious Idiot pre-purchase includes advance access scheduled for October 19 at 22:00 UTC. Demo saves can carry into the full game.

The two Steam listings

There are two separate products on Steam. The full game is app 3486530, and the First Bite Demo is app 4880100. Each has its own store page and installation entry.

The full-game listing identifies the PC product, its editions, supported languages and Steam features. It is also where current PC requirements are published. The demo listing is for the free trial only.

GPTRACK50 identifies the PC release specifically as Steam. No other PC storefront was confirmed in our research. Use the official Steam links in the sources below to avoid look-alike pages.

What the game is

Stupid Never Dies is a single-player 3D action RPG from GPTRACK50. You play as Davy, a zombie who ventures into a monster-filled dungeon in the hope of reviving Julia. The game is built around repeated dungeon dives and fast growth.

Style Eat lets Davy devour cores from elite monsters to take on their forms, with eleven Styles in total. Body Hack adds equipment-based customization of his head, arms and legs. Davy Burst is the third headline combat system.

Developer estimates put the main story at roughly 20 to 30 hours. The free demo covers approximately the first two hours. Our how long to beat page breaks the estimates down.

Try it free with the First Bite Demo

The First Bite Demo is a free, playable trial on PC through Steam. It covers approximately the opening two hours of the full game. It is not a free copy of the complete game.

Gematsu's demo report links the PC trial and confirms save carryover into the main game. GPTRACK50's announcement confirms the same. Progress you make in the demo can therefore continue after you buy the full game.

The demo introduces basic actions, Bite, Style Eat, Body Hack, Davy Burst and the mall. It includes two bosses, Afreet and Phoenix Zaza Hotfeathers. Our demo guide covers everything it includes.

Release date and advance access on Steam

The global release date is October 21, 2026, with selected regions seeing October 22 because of time zones. GPTRACK50 announced the date on July 29, 2026. Steam shows local timing for your region.

The Steam listing shows a Glorious Idiot pre-purchase with advance access scheduled for October 19, 2026 at 22:00 UTC. That access is distinct from the standard release. Standard edition players start on October 21.

Store timing can be adjusted, so recheck the listing shortly before you plan to play. Our release date page has the full breakdown. It also explains why some regions show October 22.

Editions

The full-game listing identifies the available editions for PC. The Standard and Glorious Idiot editions are the two named in official listings. Steam shows local prices for your region.

For reference, the US PlayStation page lists the Standard Edition at $49.99 and Glorious Idiot at $59.99. Those are US PlayStation prices, not Steam prices. Check the Steam listing for your own currency.

No boxed PC version has been announced. The confirmed physical edition is a PS5 Standard disc in selected regions, covered on our physical copy page. PC players buy digitally through Steam.

Steam features and languages

The full-game listing includes Steam Achievements in its feature list. That confirms achievement support, but not a count or a list. Our achievements page tracks what is verified.

The language table marks English full audio. Coverage of the second trailer reports English voice-overs with thirteen subtitle language options. The Steam listing is the authoritative place to check each language.

The game is single-player only. The developers confirm that Davy is the only playable character, and no multiplayer mode appears in the sources we checked. Everything in the game is played as Davy.

PC requirements

Current PC requirements are published on the full-game Steam listing. They can change before and after launch. Always check the live listing rather than an old copy.

We have not reproduced a requirements table here, because a dated copy goes out of date quickly. We also do not infer Linux support, cross-save or benchmark results from the Windows release. None of these was established in our research.

If you are unsure whether your PC can run the game, the free demo is the practical test. It introduces the core systems of the full game. Its save data can carry into the full game as well.

Steam announcements and community

The official Steam announcements page carries developer news for the game. It includes the Game Cycle announcement about accelerating growth and the Surtr R.S. announcement. It is a reliable place to follow updates after launch.

A September 2026 update improved targeting and added an optional Combat Camera Assist. Changes like this are announced through official channels. Check the announcements page for patch information after release.

The Steam Community hub also hosts discussions and screenshots. Treat player posts as opinions unless they include clear evidence. Official announcements remain the reliable source for changes.

Early footage on PC

GameRiot's “Exclusive Gameplay Walkthrough Part 1 - INTRO,” published September 3, 2026, explicitly identifies an early demo build. It is useful for seeing the opening, but it is not evidence of final PC performance. Recorded footage also predates the September targeting update.

Official videos from GPTRACK50 and SEGA explain the systems with developer commentary. They are a better guide to how the game works than to how it runs. Our guide summarizes the whole game loop.

Steam or PS5?

The PC version is sold only through Steam, while the PS5 version is available digitally and as a Standard disc in selected regions. Achievement support is confirmed on Steam. A PS5 trophy list has not been published.

The US PlayStation page labels the game PS5 Pro Enhanced, but that label does not establish performance targets. No PC benchmarks were established in our research either. Performance comparisons will have to wait for launch.

The simplest approach is to try the demo on the platform you already use. Demo saves can carry into the full game, but transfers between platforms have not been confirmed. Our PS5 page covers the console side.
