Is there a full Stupid Never Dies walkthrough?

What a verified walkthrough can cover today: the opening demo route, the systems it unlocks, the two demo bosses and how repeated dives work.

Quick answer

No complete, independently verified walkthrough of the final game exists yet. What can be walked through today is the opening covered by the free First Bite Demo, roughly the first two hours, plus the repeating dungeon-dive structure that the whole game is built on. Dungeon layers branch, so no single video route is guaranteed for your run. This page lays out the verified opening and the loop, and marks clearly where a full route is not yet available.

The campaign goal

You play as Davy, a zombie who enters a monster-filled dungeon hoping to revive Julia. The official story description sets reaching a place called KOM as the way to pursue her revival. That is the stated campaign objective, not a published room-by-room route.

Davy is the only playable character for the entire game. His allies in the mall provide services but do not join you in combat. Every step of a walkthrough is therefore about Davy's own growth and choices.

The official roster also names the Four Generals: Surtr R.S., Dragul, Takiyasha-Hime and Wolfgang. How and when Davy meets each of them in the campaign has not been documented. Our characters page keeps their verified details in one place.

What the First Bite Demo covers

The First Bite Demo is free on PS5 and PC and covers approximately the opening two hours of the full game. Gematsu's report confirms the opening content and the save carryover into the main game. That makes the demo the only section where a route can be checked against the final product today.

GPTRACK50's announcement lists the systems the trial introduces: basic actions, Bite, Style Eat, Body Hack, Davy Burst and the mall. A useful demo walkthrough is therefore organized by objective and system unlock, not by a fixed map. Random encounters should be treated as variable.

The demo has its own Steam product page, separate from the full-game listing. Downloading it on PS5 or PC is free. Because the save carries over, progress in the trial counts toward the full game, although transfers between different platforms have not been confirmed.

Demo elementWhat it introduces
Basic actions and BiteAttacking, biting to recover health and Stupid Parry
Style EatDevouring elite-monster cores to change form
Body HackEquipment-based customization of Davy's body
Davy BurstOne of the three headline combat systems
The mallUpgrade services used between dives

Demo bosses: Afreet and Phoenix Zaza Hotfeathers

Gematsu's demo coverage names two boss encounters in the trial: Afreet and Phoenix Zaza Hotfeathers. Afreet also appears in the boss-battle section of the official second-trailer announcement. These are the only bosses a demo walkthrough can confirm.

Attack-by-attack tactics have not been verified from inspected footage or playtesting. We do not list phase thresholds, resistances or drops. See the bosses page for the full confirmed roster and which fights are outside the demo.

Two more bosses appear in official material outside the demo. Wyvern has a dedicated director-commentary video, and Surtr R.S., one of the Four Generals, is explicitly outside the demo. Their positions in the campaign order have not been published.

How each dive works

The full game repeats a cycle of preparation and dungeon dives. You prepare in the mall, enter the dungeon, level up quickly by defeating enemies and return with resources. The developers describe one dive cycle as roughly 20 to 30 minutes.

RPGamer's report on the progression video describes branching dungeon layers and repeated dives. One route shown in a video is not guaranteed to appear in your own run. A walkthrough for this game should explain choices at each layer rather than promise a fixed path.

The progression press release explains that defeating enemies drives rapid growth during a dive, while mall preparation supports the next attempt. Monster parts collected in the dungeon are a resource for Bessie. Plan each return trip around the services you want to use next.

What changes between runs

Davy's dungeon level resets to 1 at the start of the next dive. Long-term progression raises how quickly he levels during later runs, and equipment progress persists. A walkthrough step that says “reach level X” therefore only applies within one dive.

At certain level-up points, the game offers a choice of three options. Bessie Burger in the mall improves the rarity of those options over time. Style availability is also temporary within a run, so the forms you have will differ between attempts.

Style Cards show the skill you are about to receive, and you can compare or reject it. Each of the ten monster Styles has five possible skills, assigned at random. Two players following the same route can therefore end up with very different builds.

Opening-playthrough videos

GameRiot published “Exclusive Gameplay Walkthrough Part 1 - INTRO” on September 3, 2026. Its description explicitly identifies an early demo build. It is useful as an opening reference, but it is not evidence of the final game or a complete playthrough.

The targeting and camera update arrived later in September 2026. Older footage may therefore show different camera behavior from the current build. Check the upload date of any walkthrough video before copying its approach.

Official videos are more reliable for system explanations than for routes. SEGA's DEEP BITE #2 video covers the game cycle with director commentary on mall preparation and dungeon exploration. Use it to understand the structure rather than as a step-by-step guide.

Why there is no full-game route yet

The full game releases on October 21, 2026, with some regions seeing October 22 because of time zones. Before then, no source we checked documented the campaign beyond the opening. Developer estimates put the main story at roughly 20 to 30 hours, far longer than the demo.

We will not advertise a “full game” or “100%” walkthrough based on Part 1 footage. A final-boss solution needs a traceable complete playthrough. When verified material exists, this page will be extended chapter by chapter with dates.

The director also mentions content after the main story. Nothing about its structure or requirements was confirmed in the sources we checked. We will cover post-story content once it can be documented from the released game.

How to use this page right now

Start with the demo, since its save data carries into the full game. Learn the systems in the order the trial introduces them. Then use the related guides below for each system in depth.

Our beginner tips cover the combat rhythm, and the leveling guide explains resets. The ending page tracks what is confirmed about the story's conclusion. Each page shows the date its information was checked.

If you prefer to wait for launch, the release date page explains the October 21 and October 22 timing. The how long to beat page separates the demo length from the campaign estimate. Both are updated when official information changes.
