No verified voice cast for Stupid Never Dies has been published in the sources we checked. English voice-over is confirmed: Steam marks English full audio, the official Weekly Famitsu interview specifies English voice acting, and coverage of the second trailer reports thirteen subtitle language options. None of those sources names a performer. The DAVY and DAVY & JULIA music credits are fictional, in-world credits, not the names of real voice actors.
Cast status
We could not verify a performer-to-character cast list for Stupid Never Dies. Official announcements, store pages and interviews confirm the language of the voice acting, but not who performs it. Language support does not identify an actor.
The table below shows the current status for the main characters. Every performer entry is marked “Not verified.” We will replace those entries only when an official credit or a reliable source names the performer.
We also checked GPTRACK50's announcements, the official site and the Steam news page for credits. None of them published a cast list before launch. The full game's credits will be checked after release.
| Character | Voice performer | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Davy | Not verified | No official credit found |
| Julia | Not verified | No official credit found |
| Dr. Frank | Not verified | No official credit found |
| Bessie | Not verified | No official credit found |
| Goyle | Not verified | No official credit found |
| Acelino | Not verified | No official credit found |
What is confirmed: English voice-over
Gematsu's report on the second trailer, published June 10, 2026, states that the game has English voice-overs. The same report lists thirteen subtitle language options. It does not supply a character cast.
GPTRACK50's Weekly Famitsu interview, published May 1, 2026, also specifies English voice acting. It does not name performers either. Two official-facing sources therefore agree on the language.
The Steam full-game listing marks English full audio in its language table. That is a language feature, not a cast credit. The Steam listing is the authoritative place to check each supported language.
Subtitle and language support
Coverage of the second trailer reports thirteen subtitle language options for the game. That makes the English voice-over accessible to players who prefer reading another language. The full list of subtitle languages is shown on the Steam listing.
Steam's Russian-language store page confirms a Russian interface and subtitles. It does not list Russian voice-over. No other voice languages were confirmed in the sources we checked.
Japanese voice acting was not established in our research either. The official Japanese site presents the game with Japanese text and terminology. Check the store listing in your region for the languages it supports.
The PlayStation accessibility inconsistency
The US PlayStation page includes accessibility text about dialogue. It says both that there is no spoken dialogue and that spoken dialogue is subtitled. Those two statements contradict each other.
We do not let that inconsistency override the explicit language information. Steam and the official interview both confirm English voice acting. Treat the PlayStation text as an error until it is corrected.
The PlayStation page remains a useful source for other details, such as offline single-player and DualSense vibration. Our PS5 page covers those features. It is still worth checking for accessibility options.
DAVY and DAVY & JULIA are not actor credits
The ending theme, “Restless, Reckless, Never Die, Fearless,” is credited to DAVY. GPTRACK50 published the title in its July 29, 2026 release-date announcement, along with an official music video. Official material also includes a DAVY & JULIA credit.
These are fictional, in-world music credits tied to the characters. They should not be read as the legal names of performers. The identity of any singer behind them has not been verified.
Searches for the voice of Davy often land on these credits. That is a misunderstanding, not a cast reveal. Our ending page covers the theme song in more detail.
Showcase guests are not the cast
Promotional events and showcases sometimes feature guests. A guest appearance at a showcase does not mean that person voices a character. We do not treat event guests as cast members.
The same caution applies to trailer narration and interviews. Developers such as producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi speak about the game, but that does not make them part of the voice cast. Interviews are about the game's design, not its casting.
How to spot an unreliable cast list
Cast lists that appear before launch often lack sources. Check whether a list links to an official credit, a store page or a performer's own confirmed statement. If it does not, treat it as unverified.
Be careful with lists that use translation-variant names such as Betsy or Oil. The official English spellings include Bessie, Goyle, Acelino and Dr. Frank. A list that gets the names wrong is unlikely to have reliable credits.
Also watch for the DAVY music credit being presented as an actor's name. It is a fictional credit, as explained above. Confusing the two is a common sign of an unreliable list.
The characters who speak
Davy is the playable zombie hero and the only character you control. Julia is the frozen woman he hopes to revive. The mall allies are Dr. Frank, Bessie, Goyle and Acelino.
The official roster also names the Four Generals: Surtr R.S., Dragul, Takiyasha-Hime and Wolfgang. GPTRACK50's September announcement adds Everent. Which of these characters have voiced lines has not been documented.
Our characters page covers each role in more detail. It uses the official English spellings. Character roles are kept spoiler-free.
Where to hear the voices
The free First Bite Demo on PS5 and PC is the easiest way to hear the English voice-over. It covers approximately the first two hours of the full game. Its save data can carry into the full game.
Official trailers also include voiced footage. GPTRACK50's Second Trailer introduces the companions, and the Third Trailer accompanied the demo announcement. Credits may appear in the full game's end credits after launch.
The English voice-over is confirmed for the full game on Steam. Whether every line is voiced has not been documented. We will note any unvoiced sections after launch if they are confirmed.
How we will verify the cast
A cast entry needs an official credit or a reliable, attributable source. The full game's credits, official announcements and performers' own confirmed statements all qualify. Guesses based on voice similarity do not.
The game releases on October 21, 2026, with some regions seeing October 22. Once the credits can be checked, we will fill in the table above with sources. If you find an official credit, you can send it through our contact page.
Corrections are handled first, because a wrong credit can spread quickly. Please include a link or a screenshot of the credit you found. We will date this page when the cast is added.
