The Glorious Idiot Edition is the premium digital edition of Stupid Never Dies. It contains the base game plus the TickTock Teddies: Nonsense Overload Pack, which holds five teddies. The US PlayStation page lists it at 59 dollars and 99 cents against 49 dollars and 99 cents for Standard. The Steam pre-purchase also scheduled advance access for October 19, 2026 at 22:00 UTC.
What the edition contains
A storefront listing for the Glorious Idiot Edition describes two parts. The first is the full base game, Stupid Never Dies. The second is a DLC called the TickTock Teddies: Nonsense Overload Pack.
That pack contains five teddies named Big Head, Chirp Chirp, Festival, Romantic and Splash. The listing presents them as cosmetic extras rather than new story content. We have not verified how the teddies work in play, so we do not describe their effects.
The Standard Edition has the base game without the pack. Everything needed to finish the story is in both versions, as far as the sources we checked show. Treat the extra pack as an add-on, not as required content.
| Item | Standard | Glorious Idiot |
|---|---|---|

Prices on the stores we checked
On the US PlayStation page, the Standard Edition is listed at 49 dollars and 99 cents. The Glorious Idiot Edition is listed at 59 dollars and 99 cents. The gap is therefore ten dollars in the US.
A key store listing showed different local prices, with Standard at 33 pounds and 99 pence and Glorious Idiot at 42 pounds and 49 pence after a temporary discount. That discount was set to end on October 22, 2026 at 22:00 UTC or when stock ran out. Deals like this change quickly, so check the live page.
Steam shows prices in your own currency. Regional pricing, taxes and store promotions all change the gap between the editions. The cheapest route can differ by country.
Advance access and the October 19 start
The Steam full-game listing shows a Glorious Idiot pre-purchase with advance access scheduled for October 19, 2026 at 22:00 UTC. That is about two days before the October 21 worldwide launch. Standard Edition players start on the regular release date.
One key store listing mentions up to 48 hours of advance access. That matches the October 19 timing on Steam. We have not verified whether PlayStation buyers receive the same head start.
Since the launch has now happened, advance access is no longer a reason to choose the premium edition. It mattered only for players who wanted to start before everyone else. Today the choice comes down to the bonus pack and the price gap.
Does the pack change how you play?
Nothing in the official descriptions says the teddies change combat strength or progression. The developers describe growth as coming from dungeon dives and mall upgrades. Our upgrades guide covers how those systems work.
Because the pack is presented as a themed set of five items, it looks aimed at players who like extras. We cannot confirm gameplay effects without a source. If you only care about the campaign, the Standard Edition covers it.
If the character cosmetics appeal to you, the edition is a reasonable way to get them at launch. Players who are unsure can try the free demo first. The demo covers roughly the first two hours and the save can carry into the full game.
Is there a physical Glorious Idiot Edition?
No physical Glorious Idiot Edition has been confirmed. The only confirmed disc is the PS5 Standard Edition in selected regions. Steelbooks and collector's editions have not been verified either.
That means the premium edition is a digital purchase on PlayStation Store and Steam, or through authorised key sellers. Be careful with unofficial listings that claim a boxed premium version. Our physical copy page explains what is confirmed.
If you buy the disc and later want the pack, check the store for a standalone DLC listing. We have not verified whether the pack is sold separately. Do not assume it is until a store page says so.
Which edition suits which player
Choose Standard if you want the game and nothing else. It is the lower price on every store we checked and it contains the full campaign. It is also the only edition with a confirmed disc.
Choose Glorious Idiot if you want the five teddies and do not mind paying more. The extra cost is modest compared with the base price. Collectors of cosmetic content will see the most value.
If you are undecided, start with the demo and decide later. Premium content is rarely time-limited once a game is out, apart from store sales. Check the live price on your platform before buying.
Platforms where the edition is sold
The game launched on PS5 and PC via Steam. Both storefronts list the Standard and Glorious Idiot editions. Our PS5 page and Steam page compare the listings in detail.
No Switch 2 or Xbox version has been announced in the sources we checked. Any edition for those platforms would be new information. See our Switch 2 and Xbox page for the current status.
Release timing is covered on our release date page. It explains why some regions show October 22 instead of October 21. The edition choice does not change the final launch date.
