As of October 22, 2026, no Nintendo Switch 2 or Xbox version of Stupid Never Dies has been announced in any source we could verify. The game launched on October 21, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam, co-published by SEGA. Searches for other platforms mostly return unrelated news about Xbox games coming to Switch 2 in general. Until the developers say otherwise, treat other platforms as unconfirmed.
Confirmed platforms at launch
Launch coverage from RPG Site and Insider Gaming names PlayStation 5 and PC as the platforms. The PC release is on Steam. The game is co-published by SEGA together with the developer GPTRACK50.
GPTRACK50's own release-date announcement from July 29, 2026 uses the same platform list. Our release date page explains the October 21 and October 22 dates. Some regions see the later date because of time zones.
Every official page we checked for the game lists the same two platforms. None of them mentions a Nintendo or Xbox version, a later port or a platform exclusivity window. That is why we describe the other platforms as unannounced.
| Platform | Status on October 22, 2026 |
|---|---|
| PlayStation 5 | Released, digital and selected physical |
| PC via Steam | Released, demo also available |
| Nintendo Switch 2 | Not announced |
| Xbox | Not announced |
What the Trends data is really showing
Search interest in the game shows people asking about Switch 2 and Xbox right after launch. That is normal for any new multiplatform-looking release. Interest in a platform is not the same as an announcement.
When we searched for a Switch 2 or Xbox version, the results were about Xbox first-party games moving to Nintendo hardware. Those stories do not mention this game. Be careful with headlines that blur the two topics.
If a port is announced, it will most likely appear on GPTRACK50's news page and on SEGA's channels first. We will update this page with the source and date. Until then, this page records only what has been verified.
Where to play it today
On PlayStation 5 you can buy the Standard or Glorious Idiot Edition digitally. A Standard physical disc is confirmed for selected regions. The US PlayStation page also labels the game PS5 Pro Enhanced.
On PC, the full game and a separate demo are both on Steam. The demo is free and covers roughly the first two hours. Our Steam page lists both store entries and what to check before buying.
If you only own a Nintendo or Xbox console, the current options are limited. A PC capable of running the game or a PS5 is required. Cloud streaming options have not been verified for this title.
Could a port happen later?
Ports are possible for any game, but nothing in our sources suggests one. The developers have talked about combat design, progression and the demo rather than future platforms. We do not speculate beyond what they say.
A smaller studio with a SEGA publishing partnership often focuses on the first launch platforms. Sales, performance and technical work all affect later decisions. None of that is confirmed for this game.
Rumors about ports spread quickly after a launch. Treat unnamed leaks and fan graphics as unverified. Wait for a trailer or a post from the publisher.
How to get notified
Follow GPTRACK50's official news page and the official Steam announcements. Both carry platform and patch news first. The official English game website lists the platforms it supports.
You can also follow SEGA's regional channels, since SEGA co-publishes the game. Announcements on other platforms would normally come with a new trailer. We link official sources from our homepage.
If you find an official announcement we have missed, send it to us through the contact page. Include the link, the date and the platform. We will verify it before we change anything here.
Editions, demo and what to do now
Two digital editions are on sale. Our Glorious Idiot Edition page compares them with Standard. The free demo is the safest way to check performance on your own hardware before paying.
The demo save can carry into the full game on the same platform. We have not verified transfers between platforms. Keep that in mind if you plan to change systems later.
For score and reception details, see our Metacritic page. It tracks the critic reviews that can be verified. For length and difficulty, read the how long to beat guide.
